Dr. Jeffrey Homburg is a geoarchaeologist and soil scientist with about 40 years of experience. He earned a Ph.D. in soil science at ISU and M.A. and B.A. degrees in anthropology, and he is an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona. Dr. Homburg has extensive experience in the U.S., Mexico, Mongolia, and Africa. He is best known for his pioneering work on anthropogenic effects of ancient agriculture on soil quality and agricultural sustainability of dryland and irrigated fields.
