Daniel Leonard holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of California, Riverside and has conducted professional and academic archaeological work California, Utah, Montana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Mexico, and Guatemala for 10 years. Daniel has been involved in southern California cultural resource management full-time since August 2013, working on projects for a variety of clients, assisting them in their obligation to comply with state (CEQA) and federal (NEPA, NHPA Section 106) regulations regarding their project impacts to archaeological and historic resources. Project experience includes records searches, archival research, field survey, site recording, significance testing, report writing, and GIS data management and map production. Daniel has also presented and published academic papers, has taught archaeology at UC Riverside, and has written successful grant applications for wetland agriculture and geoarchaeological research in Mexico.
