Stacy M. Dunn, PhD, RPA #4816

Cultural Resources Director at Ohio Valley Archaeology, Inc. (OVAI)

Position Statement

I am interested in serving as Secretary/Treasurer because I value the RPA's role in supporting ethical archaeological practice and believe strong governance and sound financial management are essential to the organization's success. I hope to contribute my experience in nonprofit governance and committee leadership in support of the Board and the membership. I served on the Board of Directors of Camp Quest Ohio, a nonprofit educational organization, from 2014 to 2023 in various leadership roles over the years, including as Secretary, Chair, and Treasurer. My responsibilities included preparing meeting minutes, budgeting, financial oversight, fundraising, and supporting the overall operations of the board. In addition, while as faculty at Edinboro University from 2012 to 2021, I served on scholarship, graduate thesis, and university governance committees, including as Chair of the University Senate Finance Committee. I currently serve on the SAA's Investment and Finance Committee and the RPA Field School Committee. Together, these experiences have given me a solid foundation in committee work, financial oversight, and organizational administration that I would bring to the Secretary/Treasurer role with RPA.
