The Register of Professional Archaeologists offers three Field School Scholarships, which are awarded annually to students from Register-certified field schools. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded by each of three of the organization’s sponsoring institutions (AAA, SAA, AIA) to the director of an Register-certified field school. The director will then be free to award the scholarship to a deserving student or students.

All currently certified field schools are automatically eligible for the scholarships, but must submit an application with current information for each certification year to be considered. The SAA and AAA require that the field school director be a member of their respective organizations in order to be eligible to receive a scholarship from that organization.

In order to apply, please fill out the online Field School Certification application and select AAA, AIA, or SAA as a “Sponsor Organization for Scholarship Consideration.”
