“Twin Cairns is a new environmental industry job site focused especially on young professionals. The goal is to support these largely temporary, project hires so that they don’t drop out of the industry when they hit their 30s. To help these scientists build sustainable careers, Twin Cairns uses a unique business model that provides free and discounted skills-based training, paid sick days, health care, retirement plan, and covers the application fee for those registering as a Registered Archaeologist. Essentially, Twin Cairns provides a benefit package for project hires who jump from company-to-company and project-to-project, and who are typically not eligible for traditional employment benefits. Hopefully, this bridges the gap until these scientists have the skills and experience to land full-time, long-term, and rewarding career employment. Support RAs, the Register, the Industry, and Twin Cairns!”
