Brief Description of Education & Experience
I have over 12 years of archaeological experience at state, federal, and private sector levels. My common tasks include project management, client correspondence, consultation, writing reports, analyzing historic collections, and leading surveys. I have authored or co-authored over 100 reports for a variety of projects in the Pacific Northwest and across the nation. I have acted as a field director and project manager on a series of renewable resource projects in the Columbia Basin, testing projects on the Oregon Coast, and have led or assisted with surveys for the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service in Nevada, Utah, and California.
Prior to working in the private sector, I worked for the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department as an interim State Parks archaeologist, performing project reviews, archaeological surveys, writing reports, and consulting with tribes, the State Historic Preservation Office, and project managers. I also worked two years as a field foreman and co-lab manager for Oregon State University, and as a SCEP archaeologist for the U.S. Forest Service in Laramie, Wyoming.
I am a Registered Professional Archaeologist who meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards as an archaeologist in accordance with Appendix A of 36 CFR part 61. I have specialized knowledge in the history and prehistory of the Pacific Northwest and the western United States.
