Brief Description of Education & Experience
Field school, UNC Chapel Hill in 2019. Prior to that I began an MLitt program in archaeology through the UHI in Orkney, UK. I have volunteered at Skaill Farm Norse site and the Ness of Brodgar neolothic site in Orkney. Since Spring of 2020 I have been the site archaeologist at Moorefields in Hillsborough where I design the excavation project, write reports, and manage volunteers. I have been doing shovel tests, test units, and general survey, and processing and researching artifacts. This is part time work and offers me flexibility so that I can pursue an archaeomalacology internship with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and project-specific work with Commonwealth Heritage Group. I have also worked at TRC doing labwork, data analysis, and field work, and labwork and data entry at the Office of State archaeology lab in Raleigh. I hope to pursue a PhD in archaeology.
