Brief Description of Education & Experience
I have 22 years of archaeological experience including academic, CRM, and regulatory work. My undergraduate research focused on First American's archaeology in the western United States and the Great Basin. Following this degree, I worked for three years in CRM across the western United States. My master's studies focused on Phoenician seafaring and research at a submerged Phoenician wreck in Spain. I also began working on submerged pre-contact sites at this time. My dissertation focused on landscape reconstruction and technological and mobility models for human behavior in the Walker Lake Basin in western Nevada. During my Ph.D. work I completed research in Alaska including site testing and spatial analysis of the Owl Ridge Site. I also worked for the state of Florida as an underwater archaeologist completing research at submerged historic, shipwreck, and pre-contact sites across the state. I currently work for SEARCH as a Senior Maritime Archaeologist.
