Brief Description of Education & Experience
I am the site director for Old Cahawba Archaeological Park, which is the site of the first permanent capital of the state of Alabama. Before that role, I worked for 10 years in Cultural Resource Management primarily in the midwest and the southeast. I also spent each summer from 2015 until 2023 teaching and directing archaeological field schools overseas, and have experience working in various aspects of cultural heritage in Italy, Greece, Romania, and Hungary in addition to my work in the US.
I specialize in archaeological praxis, ethics, and pedagogy, and I have a focus on the integration of technology into archaeological workflow. I am also experienced in performing terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry projects, and have experience with reflectance transformation imagery of documents and artifacts.
