Brief Description of Education & Experience
Initially studied Marine Biology as a focus with Archaeology as a minor in community college. First semester was spent in Sydney, Australia studying Marine Biology, Indigenous Anthropology, Art History, and Human Ecology. Switched major and minor after transferring to UC San Diego in 2013. Took Anthropology, Archaeology, Paleontology, and Marine Science (Geology, Oceanography, Marine Mammal Biology) courses during the typical school year. During the second summer session in 2013, took a Mesoamerica Mayan Archaeology course that traveled to Yucatan, Mexico and into Northern Guatemala to visit Mayan sites in the region. In the first summer session in 2014 took a Mesoamerican course focusing on the Olmec, Mixtec, and Zapotec Archaeology. The second summer session of 2014 was spent in London and around England taking English History and Literature courses. Coursework Master's thesis was completed in Dunedin, New Zealand with the thesis and courses include Archaeozoology, Material Culture Studies, Debates in and Research Methods in the Humanities.
